really bad! So, Sunday I was cutting up some green peppers and must have mistaken my finger for part of the green pepper. Ouch!! I didn't cut any skin off, but close and I had just sharpened the knife!
Other than my fight with the knife on Sunday, my weekend was good. Saturday Luke and I went up to Brookston. Perry (my father-in-law) came into town Friday night and he and Erik went to Alefest here in Indy. So, Luke and I ventured up to my parents so I could get some scrapping done with my sister, mom and friends. We had a good time and we got our friends hooked on scrapping, they had a really good time, so I was pleased. I got a couple pages done, I'm working on our Disney trip and I got the parade pictures done, so I was happy with that accomplishment.
I would have blogged last night, but after I got Luke to bed he got out of bed because his arm was hurting, so I let him lay in my bed with me as long as he went to sleep, well he didn't. So, I put him back in his bed and about 15 minutes later he came back in complaining of his arm again, so I let him lay back down with me, which this time he actually fell asleep. By that time it was about 10 and I was exhausted.
Today at lunch I went with my sister to check out some flooring. We've got some soft spots in our flooring and we've decided to replace the carpet in the kitchen/dining/living/hall way with hardwoods. Then I did some research about hardwoods and am more confused now. The website for the flooring that I like said that you can't let water sit on the floor or it will warp and stain it. The problem isn't when we're home, it's when we're away. The dogs are house trained, that's not the problem, it's the other messes that they make, like when they have an upset stomach and throw up (lovely I know). Of course, they are home for about 10 hours on their own and it doesn't happen all the time, but when it does it's a pain to clean up. This is part of the reason we want hardwood, but our concern now is will it stain and warp if we can't get to it for a few hours or is it over a course of time? Our other option is laminate, but will we have the same problem with that? Decisions, decisions!
That's about it from here. Hope you all had a great day! Until tomorrow...

Just wanted to give you a personal opinion on the flooring that may help. Travis and I put Laminate in the main part of our house (living room/dining and hallway). We've had it about 3 years or so and have had no issues. We have two cats who usually puke at least once a day (such fun) and of course the two kids who spill everything imaginable on it. It is easy to clean and have not had any issues with warping or staining.

I agree laminate is the way to go these days, as a designer. Its cheaper and easy to install yourself if need be. Cj and Kim have laminate I think in lieu of hardwood but I'd ask her.
