One of these days...

I'll get my act together & actually blog more than once a week. I've been so busy with work & school that I haven't had a chance to relax. Ok, maybe I've had a chance to relax, but just not worried about updating my blog. I've come to the realization today that I need to get better organized. I have a planner & it's time to get full use out of it. One thing that I love to do is make lists... well, I just started it back up again at work, now I have to start it up with my school work.

Other than that, things are good. Just tired, a lot. Could be that my brain is full of things, like, how am I going to get this ALL done?!?! I won't bore you with the details, but let's just say that I have a midterm & final paper, along with a presentation with a classmate in one class. Then a paper & a group presentation in another class. On top of all that, reading. Don't get me wrong, I love to read, but I just can't comprehend this stuff. Thankfully I talked to my best friend, Amanda, who loves to learn I might add, & she gave me a really good tip. So, hopefully my reading will become more productive!

We have a big weekend planned (as Luke likes to say)... Saturday is the Apple/Popcorn festival in Brookston. I look forward to the fall every year for when it's here. Last year we had to miss it because of a wedding, but we'll make up for it this year. One thing that is on the top of Luke's list is getting his face painted. I'll make sure to take some pictures to post. Then we have an end of the summer party to go to at our friends' house. So, a big day!!

Well, hope you all are enjoying the cool, crisp mornings! Until the next time!

I'm still here...

Before I begin, I thought I would include some pictures of the little man... these were taken this past Monday (Labor Day) & yes, Luke did dress himself. You would think by looking at the pictures that we had this cold front come in, but no, normal people that day wore shorts & short sleeves. Luke, I think, is ready for cooler weather, but he wore that outfit all day & didn't complain about being hot even though he was sweating all day. Weird child.

Sorry for the drop off of blog posts (for the 2 people that read it). :) I was enjoying my last weeks of freedom before school started. I watched a lot of movies & just relaxed. I didn't get my book finished, in fact I didn't even pick it up once. It's not that I don't enjoy my current book, I do, I was just enjoying relaxing & not having to 'think' more.

So, this past Tuesday I had my first class. Boy, was I nervous. But, I did survive. I know it was crazy to be as nervous as I was, but it was the unknown that made me want to throw up. Normally classes will run from 4:30 - 9:45, but we had a pitch-in/orientation on Tuesday so we didn't have to be there until 5 & they let us go around 8. It will be a lot of work, but I'm up for the challenge. I have a lot of reading to do before next Tuesday & I have to do an informal interview with a counselor, a teacher, a student, or a parent before next Tuesday, so tonight I need to come up with some questions and start writing an email. I already have a guinea pig for my first assignment... thanks Amanda! Now I have to find a counselor, oh well, beauty of the internet.

Everyone in my house is doing great. Luke is growing like a weed. I sent out pictures this week & for those of you that didn't get it, email me & I will send them to you (if you want to see them that is). Erik is not growing like a weed (thankfully) because if he were he would be a big monster (according to Luke) & would tear off the roof of our house & break our floors with his big monster feet. I love monster talk with a 4-year-old.

Now that I am getting busier at work/home/school I will be blogging more. We've been busy every weekend it seems, but I've been enjoying life more & not sitting in front of a computer to type a post, sorry. It seems like the busier I am, the more productive I am... weird, I know. Hope you all had a great summer! Until the next time...
