Happy Anniversary

So, the last time I blogged, I mentioned that my anniversary was coming up & that I had a presentation on my anniversary. Well, tonight was the night of such presentation.

But, first things first... Happy Anniversary Erik! I'm so glad you offered me a coke & that we pushed thru our first date together 13 years ago today. :) I'm also glad that I married you 8 years ago today. :) I love you!

So, back to my presentation... well, my partner & I got our grade before we left class & we got 30 points out of... drum roll... 30 points!! YEAH!! On top of that we learned A LOT about drugs & alcohol. So, it was an eye opening experience, one that we both enjoyed researching & putting the information together.

Well, it's 11 o'clock & I'm going to finish checking email & head to bed! Hope you all have a great week! Until the next time...

MIA

Just thought I would let you all know that I will probably be MIA for the rest of this month. I have another paper due next Tuesday, plus a presentation & another presentation (much longer 20 - 30 min all together, but split with another person) on my anniversary. Happy Anniversary to me! :) I just turned in my midterm paper, all 17 pages of it last night. I feel pretty confident in it, but you never know how the professor will be grading it.

Some other things going on around the Huntoon house is Erik & I get a kid free weekend this weekend. My parents like to take Luke for the weekend & this weekend worked out, so they are coming down Friday to pick him up (gotta love that) & we'll figure out how we're getting him back on Sunday. It sounds like they are having a big weekend... I know sometime during the weekend they are going to the pumpkin patch. They have taken him to get a pumpkin for four years now, so why ruin the trend for them. Not entirely sure what Erik & I will do this weekend, might go see a movie. But, I will have to meet my partner some time during the weekend.

Last weekend we met our friends, the Baker's, at Stuckey Farms in Sheridan and picked a couple pumpkins. Luke had a blast because he got to see his best friend, Kaiden, & run around with him. Afterwards we headed to Costco to stock up. We've been talking a lot about getting organized with meals. Hopefully on Sunday's we can start preparing things for the week & then when we get home it's just a matter of reheating or throwing things in the oven. So, we've stocked up on stew meat & hamburger meat at Costco, along with some other essentials. Trying to get better organized, so hopefully we're on the right track!

A funny for the day before I take off. So, last night Erik tells me that Luke was asking why I don't come home on Tuesdays (he asks this every week). Erik explained (for the 20th time) that I don't come home on Tuesdays because this will keep me from having to be gone two nights. Luke then asked Erik what my cot looked like... haha. Figured since when he goes to school he has a cot, so mommy should have a cot too. I wish!!

Well, hopefully you all are doing great! Until next time...

Ok...

Maybe I won't get my act together & blog more than once a week. I could sit here & bore you with the details of my school work, but that would get real old, really quick.

Other than school, we've been keeping busy on the weekends. Last Saturday we had another big day of going to a birthday party. Luke had fun seeing all his friends & he likes it when we have 'big' days. He's been keeping busy too with school. At least once every week he tells me, "Mommy, you forgot to sign me up for school so I can ride the school bus." One more year, dear boy, one more year. You know, it's rough being four. :) He will be the first to tell you too! We are learning about early childhood in class (thankfully for my fellow students it was a one day topic) & our professor said to share some related stories if we had any. Let's just say that I had a lot of relevant stories... I think everyone was getting tired of me talking about Luke. But, hey, at least I participated & I got to talk about my favorite subject. :)

I had a 'big' day on Sunday preparing for class... let's just say that I didn't get all my reading done the week before, so I had to play catch-up. So, this week/weekend shouldn't be too bad with the reading since I'm all caught up now. Saturday I have a 'big' day planned... I get my haircut (FINALLY); the Comcast guy is coming to install another DVR in our bedroom (yes, I watch way too much tv) & to switch over our phone service, so now everything will be on one bill; I'm meeting my partner at the Butler Library to start working on our presentation that we have (unfortunately on my anniversary); & then we are having the Baker's over so the boys can play (they've been after us for a while to plan something so they can play even though they've seen each other 2 weeks in a row...).

Other than that, not much else is going on. I'm going to get off here so I can go eat lunch & get some work done. Hope everyone is doing great & enjoying the fall weather we are having! Can't wait to gain a hour soon... yes, I'm crazy, but if I can gain a hour, maybe I can get a lot done. :) Until next time!
